Experience Israel - The Garden Tomb
Welcome to Experience Israel 2.0. As the Easter season approaches, we visit the Garden Tomb. This panorama is from the "Jerusalem" section. Explore dozens of other panoramas available on this site. Use the navigation controls located on the bottom of the panorama view full-screen and zoom in for a closer look.
Many religious leaders have died in world history, and their graves remain to this day. But the hope of Christians rests in the fact of the empty tomb of Jesus Christ, and in his resurrection from the dead. The Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 15 said, “…if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.” If Jesus did not raise from the dead, then his teachings are just those of a man. But if he raised from the dead, as the Bible claims, he holds divine authority.
Many have tried to disprove the claim of the resurrection, and many of the same have become Christians themselves.
Look inside the tomb that may have been the borrowed tomb that Jesus laid in for three days.
In this garden maintained by the British is a tomb that very closely matches the tomb described in the New Testament. A short distance away, is a rocky hill with what resembles a skull which would match the description of Golgotha.
