Welcome to Experience Israel 2.0

Israel has just celebrated 60 years as a nation, and Experience Israel 2.0 was relaunched to commemorate this historic milestone and to celebrate the miracle. The new site features dozens of new, fully navigable, virtual realities of some of the most famous sites in Israel. This virtual reality of the 24 acre Temple Mount, is featured in the "Jerusalem" section. This is holy ground to the world's three major religions, and is the most hotly contested piece of real estate in the world.

Virtual realities can be viewed full-screen with a button click, and you can take a closer look with the new zoom tool. The videos on the site can also be viewed full-screen. Explore the site using the navigation tabs and interactive maps in each section. Use your mouse cursor or the control ribbon found at the bottom of each virtual reality to toggle into full-screen, to zoom and to rotate.

Israel was born out of the ashes and tragedies of World War II and the holocaust. Seeking to establish a Jewish homeland, the United Nations established the Jewish state in 1948 with the stroke of a pen, and the battles that followed. A nation that had been erased from the face of the earth for nearly 2,000 years, became a home again to millions of war-torn Jews. Israel was miraculously reborn.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied thousands of years ago, "Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation brought forth in a moment?" (Isaiah 66:8) Yet that's precisely what happened in 1948, fulfilling this ancient prophecy.

Today, Israelis live in constant tension. Agreements trading "land for peace" threaten to carve the country into pieces, and threaten Israel's security. Yet despite the unrest, this holy land holds a rich story of promise for the world which can now be discovered here at Experience Israel.
